m3u playlists

This is becoming a confusing subject for me, this would be my second time making a m3u playlist for my blog but this time seems so much harder lol

Im not sure exactly how i made my old file, i cant find the copy..but it was not complex (it might have been something like a href="file" three times)

i tried looking it up, ppl said to use winamp, but i dont feel like downloading software to make this one file


im using 3 .wma's off of blogupload.com that i uploaded myself, any help would be nice

Heres an example of a m3u playlist i made.

D:\Mp3s\Incubus - Pardon Me (Acoustic).mp3

D:\Mp3s\marilyn manson - in the shadow of the valley of death.mp3
#EXTINF:276,Trapt - Echo
D:\Mp3s\Trapt - Echo.mp3
#EXTINF:305,Nirvana - Where Did You Sleep Last Nightv (MTV unplugged)
D:\Mp3s\Nirvana - Where Did You Sleep Last Nightv (MTV unplugged).mp3

If your doing it webbased you have to have the files uploaded to your site. So like you have them in a folder called mp3s it would be:
#EXTINF:###, blah blah blah
\mp3s\filename

If your trying to have people be able to download the m3u list and listen to them, just put the songs in a .rar and let them download them.

ok thats one format i found, but they didnt tell me HOW to do it, the just had
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF: 0, song.mp3
song.mp3

which helped me none, bc it wouldnt tell me which was which! haha

so yea, im using this for streaming music not downloading so just that should be fine

thats the file, i made it in notepad and saved it as playlist.m3u and when i went to stream it it wouldnt play

ill go check blogupload.com to see if thats the problem..but i havnt had a problem with them before :dead:
