  1. Hello,

    Please help me troubleshoot this problem for my sister. She is getting a MACHINE_CHECK_EXCPETION bluescreen on her 2 year old laptop, with the message:

    STOP: 0x0000009C (0x00000000,0x8054D570,0xA2000000,0x84010400)

    She has a Dell Inspiron 1000
    512MB RAM
    Celeron processor @2.2Ghz

    maChime, if you were still having the problems with your sister's computer, I would recommend running the Dell diagnostics and a memory diagnostic (such as memtest86) to see if anything fails. If something does fail, then that is probably the cause of the problem.
