Major Graphics Card Issues - HP a1130n and nVidia 8400 GS

I recently purchased a new graphics card (BFG Tech nVidia 8400 GS 512MB PCI) and tried installing it into my desktop computer to upgrade to Windows 7. The computer is an HP a1130n with the AMD 64 3500+ processor and an integrated ATI xPress 200 card built into the motherboard. After disabling the integrated graphics and installing the new card and setting the display in the BIOS to PCI, a message on my monitor still appears showing "No Signal". Then when I switch back to the integrated the picture is fine. The kicker is that it is neither a defective PCI slot or card, becuase it shows up as new hardware when I log in and it shows up under device manager...any suggestions?

The PC has:
XP Media Center Edition
2.2 Ghz AMD 64 3500+
2.5 Gigs of Ram
250 Gig SATA HDD
300 Watt Factory PSU
MSI Albacore Mobo
