I'm looking at a HP Laptop; zv5000z series, and would like to know just how propritary their memory is? IOW's do I have to get it from them?

The unit I'm looking at has 256mb standard and I don't think I really need 512, but might get it later depending on price. It is a $100 option now which seems steep.

I will stick with the 256 that is already there, at least for now.

I'm running 2k though that comes with FP that I really don't like.
