Memory Upgrade for Laptop

Ok I got real sick of my laptop being so slow, so i formatted it and its still slow.

I wated to know how to install some more mempory onto it to make it faster, i dnt know much about laptops but i can do it with PCs, is there much difference.

Alos how much memory am i looking at to make it go faster.
512mb?

You open up the cover to reveal the memory slots and then you put in the new stick. Just like PCs.

Not really.

Your laptop takes SODIMM memory modules, not your normal DIMM memory.
Be sure to double-check the maximum RAM speed and size supported
- laptops are usually more picky about such things. Also whether you can actually add another stick or do you have to replace the exiting one.
Unless the cover for the memory is obviously marked and openable then you should consult the laptop manual on how to actually get access to the memory slots.

512MB of RAM is plenty for any normal use. Since it's a laptop then I suppose you are not doing any hardcore gaming or multimedia work with it.
