Merging partitions

I don't have much time before the main partition becomes bruised so how can I merge them (no demo crap, something that will solve the problem in anout 14 minutes) because I have 18GB on the otherone. Plenty untill the next upgrade. HELP PLEASE!

No partitioning utility will merge it in 15 minutes. Count on it taking hours.

Merging partitions is rather fishy business and only the most advanced utilities can do it (Partition Magic). You can just resize-copy-resize-copy-delete of course.

I use Partitation Magic 8.0x to do what you want.... recommend you Backup if possible... if not I have had 99.99% with PQ 8.0x..and its pretty fast.. depending on your machine and HD size...

try acronis using there boot cd
make boot cd from the software and merge
should take less than 2 hrs
as always don't let chkdsk run on boot
go in and copy files out of dir that merging put them in
then delete the system file in that dir also
reboot let chkdsk scream away
and that will take hours
