I also recommend win8 to all my friends, some have already switched to win 8.

Also, its clear from their carefully massaged PR that Windows 8 is reporting most of your activity to Microsoft. Just another reason to avoid it completely

It's called Windows Telemetry and has been present in just about every windows the past decade. You have the choice of turning it off during installation. Again, no different then any other windows.

Yes, it reports your activity - it helps msft determine how people use windows which is very valuable data to consider when building new versions of the software.

This, for example, is also how they figured out that the infamous start menu is no longer a widely used feature. The vast majority of win7 users pinned apps to the taskbar and only used the search field of the start menu. As a result, it was taken out of windows (or at least: it morphed into the start screen, which removed all the clutter nobody that nobody was using).

It's funny how disinformation is so widely spread on comment sections in context of microsoft news.

This is simply not true.
More then 50% of the startups who jumped on the band wagon of "apps for mobile stores" are bankrupt and the others barely manage to stay alive.

The big companies, who's main business is real desktop software, are also not really making much money on these things.

It's only a handfull of people who have been successfull (angry birds comes to mind).
The vast, vast majority have only lost plenty of time and money.
