Microsoft and Google tag team a patent troll

  1. Microsoft and Google have teamed up to confront GeoTag, a so-called patent troll. The geolocation technology firm has sued over 300 companies for infringing on a 1999 patent (5,930,474) that describes an "internet organizer for accessing geographically and topically based information."

    "patent trolling" is the perfect name for it. They should be used to give credit to the inventor, now all it does is halt innovation. That and allow large companies to sue each other.
