In a sign that Microsoft plans to be in the Apple market for some time, the software giant said Tuesday that a new version of Office for the Mac is on its way and that another is already in the works.

Anyone know if its more advanced than the Windows release? I remember back in the day Office98 for Mac was lots better than Office97 for PC, it wasn't until Office 2000 that things caught up. Office2000 documents are the same as Office98 on the Mac - that was the end of the pc format being different from the mac format.

I don't think it's more advanced, but that it's more compatible with Panther instead and perhaps has some updates regarding lazyness :D
