Microsoft reports solid quarter, Windows revenue up 28%

  1. Microsoft has joined the lengthy list of technology companies to report growth for the recently closed quarter. Redmond announced revenue of $14.5 billion for the period ending March 31, a 6% increase on-year. In the same quarter, operating income, net income and diluted earnings per share totaled $5.17 billion, $4.01 billion, and $0.45, up 17%, 35%, and 36%.
