This is the first time ever I've even heard of it and its about to close, no surprise there!

I enjoyed using it for the achievement system as I play on Xbox 360, I like using my PC with my profile. That is the ONLY reason :)

I wish it would just go away completely. I hate buying a game on Steam and having to use a GFWL account on top of it. Yuck.

The games that work with this service are my least liked games. Warhammer Dawn of War 2, Batman Arkham City. Load them up with Steam then log into an extra layer with Games for Windows. Naf

Lol, silly commenters. It's only the marketplace that's shutting down, not the service!
  9. Now if they shutter Windows 8, the world would be better off.

Never used GWL and certainly won't be using $team. That kind of intrusive DRM and spying on users belong in Cold War era.

I don't think GFWL is as bad as others are saying. I think it is fine. I like that it links to my Xbox 360 account, and that my achievements count toward my Xbox 360 account.

Bump, because it's clear you guys still don't realise GFWL is not going anywhere.
