I have Windows XP and I was installing Microsoft updates, once some of the updates where installed, I began having problems. My computer would completely freeze or it would auto retstart on its own.
I was trying to install updates so I could update to Windows XP service pack 2. Apparently, its not gonna let me.
I have tried installing the windows updates several different ways and times, I am only installing what Microsoft is telling me I need.
The only way I have been able to correct the problem is by doing a System Restore.
Oh, and can any one tell me how to install DirectX 9 without the Microsoft Updates?
