Microsoft won't release Service Pack 2 for Windows 7

I will refrain from name calling and leave out the trolling aspect of my thoughts.

If MS would guarantee update support, through the life of my PC, I wouldn't care. I have a great machine that will likely live passed, the end of life for Windows 7 support. It would be nice to have a current updated package, that did not depend on web updating.

The very same thing is happening to XP as we speak. Every update passed Service pack 3 will be/is no longer available, since MS is dropping update services. This means anyone needing to re-install XP on their old machine is chit out of luck, if they want their system as updated as possible. They will have to settle for SP3, and forget about all those updates that were released since.

Lets not forget about all the Vista machines that lost update services before XP fully died.
If you remember windows 3.1, microsoft kept updates on their servers until the 2000s, So I think all your updates will still be available for many more years.

I know communism to be a system of equality, not freedom.

Actually, communism is a system of forced equality. There is a big difference between equality and forced equality, the latter of which makes this ideology inherently evil.

Mods, why do we have guests serially off topic arguing politics in a "Windows 7 SP-2 no go" thread?

I admit to straying off topic quite a bit, but this is bizarre, even by my standards......:(

Windows needs to re look at the service packs for the window 7 a second one and possibly 3rd one would be helpful I agree with the others on here the only reason why they are not going to be releasing a second one is cause they want the 8 to be a big success not realizing that by releasing the 2nd pack would make the 7 more manageable and would cause a frinzy for everyone to buy the 8 just to see how it functions as as is now everyone will wonder will they make a 2nd service pack for this new version that's out will they what there doing to the 7 if they come out with a 9

The US is a system of "democracy" and capitalism. You have the illusion of choice and the average American has extremely low statistical chance of making it out of the day by day grinding middle class or the desperately poor. A system that tends towards rich exploiting the not rich. The gap is widening and more and more poor are having richer people get a leg up walking all over the less fortunate. It's a society that enables and actively encourages exploitation and the only checks and balances can be implemented by people many or most of whom used exploitation to get to their position of power in the first place.

If you think you can break it out of the middle class, you are either one of the miniscule small percentage or you need to have a good hard look at yourself. The system isn't trying to benefit you. Think about it...

Doesn't that make both evil?
