  1. charles 6263 Newcomer, in training

    Hi, I am charles 6263 and a retired professor, not terribly adept with computer programs. I am using microsoft works word processor and have been trying to place page numbers on a long document. All I am able to do, however, is put the number on the current page, and I am offered no choice as to position. Suggestions as to sources of help. Thanks.

    My only suggestion is to upgrade to a version of Microsoft Office. Microsoft Works is a minimal group of programs, similar to Office, but not the same in power, customization and usefulness

    like RBS said... works is total crap and incompatible with everything. Openoffice is wonderful. I use it all the time!

    although when using OpenOffice it is sometimes hard to save created documents on your local computer
