    Hi!

Trying to connect a midi keyboard to my PC joystick port but it is not recieving signal. Got a Roland PC180A and a SB Live card (4.1). Roland insist i have set the keyboard correctly and that it should work, but is probably a problem with my sound card. They would say that though!!!!

Hope this is relevent to the site and that someone else may have this problem.

    Cheers...me dear...

In my daughter's PC is a Soundblaster Live! 256 PCI, Value Edition, model CT4670.
I wanted to connect a Steinberg CLEAN recording interface to the joystick port, but found out that the SB-card does not supply the power needed to feed that interface.
Must indeed be an SB-problem. We don't have a joystick, so I dont know either if that would work.

I was going to build a new PC anyway, so I bought a mobo with built-in sound (C-Media) and that works fine.
