mini dumps

sorry, my pc is at another location. i brought my mini dumps and error logs round, then saw the post about what to do before posting, but i was wondering if you guys could take a look anyway.

my pc started crashing when connecting to the net (using a wireless adapter that i have used before)

my pc will run all day everyday using photoshop cs2, dreamweaver, etc etc. anything, as long as i dont connect to the net. whenever i connect, my pc crashes and i get the below errors. I originally thought i had screwed my wireless drivers, and after trying to sort them i decided on a full re-install of xp.

so my pc used to crash in xp sp2, and now it crashes in xp sp1 !!

i cant get onto the net to dld any updated drivers etc and would be very grateful for any help.

Both your minidumps crash at PRISMA02.sys. This is your D-link driver. Try updating the driver if available and see if that fixes your problem.

sorry for being stupid but what is the D-Link? is it the wireless adapter driver?

btw. my wireless adapter is an inventel, is D-Link a suitable driver?

PRISMA02.sys is your wireless adapter driver, which in your case would seem to be inventel. You need to update the driver if available.

hmmm. i have looked on the net and it seems a few people have had the problem, even with newer drivers.

if updating the drivers does not help, will a different wireless adapter work? presumably the PRISMA02.sys relates to my inventel adapter and i could uninstall / manually delete them and use a different card?

would i need to remove the PRISMA02.sys and .inf files?

hmm, cant find any other drivers more upto date than mine. so thats a bit rubbish.

also, even when my pc doesnt crash because of the wireless adapter. when i turn my pc back off then on again it says my pc has recovered from a serious error.
