minidump: BSOD Win2K suddenly started yesterday

  1. Hello,
Beginning yesterday, my web server has rebooted itself now 3 times and I am trying to scout out the reason.

I have attempted to follow the instructions in previous threads, so here is a zip with my 3 minidumps. I have a much larger MEMORY.DMP as well if necessary.

I have also attached 2 text files that are the output of running the dubugging tools for windows with some suggested commands from cpc2004.

Any suggestions are welcome. Because this server is hosted in a different continent, it's hard for me to run memtest and it would be costly to have to shut down our network to do this.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

All your minidumps crash at mvstdi5x.sys. This is your Anti-Virus Mini-Firewall Driver.

I suggest you contact your firewall provider.

    Thanks for the reply.

I am running BlackICE Firewall and McAfee Antivirus 8.0i. Do you know which one is to blame?

It seems to be related to McAfee.

Do a Google search for mvstdi5x.sys

    Regards Howard :)
