Mobile Site: UI Layering Bugs and Feedback

Bugs:
1) Using Firefox, hitting the three horizontal bar symbol in the top-left (Downloads, Features, Reviews, etc.) to appear causes it to go over the tiled image news headers as expected, but it then hides behind when the background changes to white (a differnet layer). This makes using it nigh impossible, aside from it not being able to scroll at all too. This is also a problem in the mobile forum as the majority of the forum is the upper-white layer or whatever you want to call it. With Chrome for Android, it doesn't hide at all, but more often than not scrolling the pop-up won't work.

2) Forum genre/headline text is cut off at the bottom most part. This is a problem on both the mobile and desktop versions of the site--probably known already.

Feedback:
I do like how the mobile site is set up, no complaints about it's themes and setup overal--very fluid and fast.

My only complaint is when a device (more-so a phone vs a tablet) is in landscape and a keyboard appears, the header with "TECHSPOT" up top makes it very hard to see what you type since everything is so scrunched together.

Would it be possible for the headline or whatever you wish to call it hide upon detecting keyboard use/text input?

Thank you for your feedback. So on the reported three issues:

1) We'll try to replicate the issues described. Firefox for Android was not part of the testing suite when we developed the current version of the site, first and foremost because it wasn't even a player at the time.

2) That's actually by design. Not the first time someone brings it up though. :)

3) The keyboard + fixed top header/logo is actually a great piece of advise. We'll get that fixed soon by removing the header when the window height is too small (e.g. when in landscape mode).

Still haven't got to try and fix Firefox on mobiles, but based on your feedback we've modified our header so landscape viewing no longer fixes the TechSpot header/menu on top, optimizing vertical space for reading and for typing when the keyboard is popped up.

The header change alone helps a ton--with that done anything else was trivial. Thanks to you and your team for the work!

Hey Julio/staff,

It seems the header has made a return to being fixed while in landscape, making things visually difficult again. Dunno if it was a mistake or change of judgement.

I think it got reverted back while fixing a different bug, let me regroup and try to get both in order by next week. Thanks for the note!
