Hello,
I'm thinking about putting together a computer for the first time, and needed some advice on motherboard selection. I'm using a few older components I have salvaged, in particular a dual core pentium D 925 3.0Ghz. I want to be able to fit this as the processor in my new build, but also plan to upgrade to a quad core in the near future, and wanted some advice on choosing a board that will have a decent chipset that will allow this. My other specs for the board (ATX) are not particularly demanding, just a decent amount of ram capacity, I also only require a single PCI-e slot, not SLI/crossfire. Also ideally it would be DX10 compatible.
Any advice on a decent board that would handle both processors would be great.
Cheers.
