There was an early version of the HSP56 Micro Modem called 56K DAA (Data Access Arrangement).
Support for these modems was drooped from the current Conexant / PCTel universal drivers for reasons unknown to me.
These were ARM/CNR or embedded AC97/ACLink modems.
You can ID your modem using a program that reads the PCI ID number embedded in the modem hardware.

If your modems ID number looks like this;
PCI\VEN_13F6&DEV_0211&SUBSYS_XXXXXXXX
you have the DAA modem.
A company that sold these modems has an archive of the last drivers released from PCTel for them.

The current "UniDriverSoftware" driver, from Conexant, supports both PCI and (current) AC97/ACLink modems.
If this is a PCI modem (PCI add on card) check to see if you motherboard has a embedded modem and disable it in the BIOS.
