Hello everyone!
I'm having a problem that I cannot understand at all with my old Acer AL1916W monitor.
As I turn on the screen it shows whatever it is recieving for about one second, then goes black, but still getting the signal. The only thing that makes it show anything again is to turn it of, then on again and the same thing happens. (It shows what it's recieving for a second and goes back to black)
It has not shown any messages of not recieving a signal, but the screen stays black. I can't even use the monitors own menu, since that is blacked out too.
I don't wan't to replace it (though that's what I think must be done in the end), so I had to post it here for all of you, who know much more than I do!
Here's what I've tried so far with no luck (the same problem in every scenario):
changed port on GFX
Changed cable
Tried connecting it to another GFX, the onboard port and another PC
Tried disconnecting power to monitor (and holding the power button) before retry
