Would anybody know if a faulty hard drive would be responsible for my moniter staying on standby? The problem started with having to hit the reset button in order to get the moniter to turn on. Also a related or unrelated problem was my computer was freezing when I went online with the screen turning blank (black).
I just replaced the graphics card and that didn't work. I'm thinking that it doesn't seem the computer is booting up even with the moniter on standby, so maybe the hard drive is the fault. Or maybe even the mother board. I already tried disconnecting all devices to single out a post test error to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help!
