  1. My monitor display is slanted, curved etc. It's a Dell- 3 or 4 yrs. old. I've tried every adjustment and did that degauss thing. Nothing works. Is it toast?? Please help.

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

The easiest solution would be either to try your monitor on another system or, try a different monitor on yours.

Believe it or not--I thought of that. BUT.... none available. My daughter has a laptop. There are more cows around here than computers. My daughter says, "Just buy a new one!" Hmm. Thank you for your time

You should be able to connect the monitor to the laptop. All the ones Ive seen have VGA connectors.
