Monitor fading out

  1. I have a secondary monitor (Optiquest Q9) that is about 2 years old, it never gave me trouble until today. When I turn it on it comes on normally then fades to black after about 2 seconds (the power light stays on but the screen goes dark). The primary works fine. I switched them on the video card and sure enough it is the monitor itself. Any ideas?

Yes throw away the faulty monitor
There are no serviceable parts inside

You may want a second opinion too ;)

    Hey garynewman

I agree with kimsland. I believe your monitor has decided to quit. It is generally possible to repair it but I don't think that's too viable an option. You should be able to get a brand new piece for about the same price that you would repair the old one. Also, it'd be something relatively new on the market as opposed to something 2 years old. Good luck.
