I have my laptop connected to a monitor using a VGA cable, every now and then, completely at random, the monitor will just stop showing anything and start showing "no signal" as if nothing was even plugged in, despite no changes occuring with the cable. It will also play the "device disconnected" sound. The computer will then move the display onto its primary screen. Unplugging and then plugging in the VGA cable does nothing, nor does restarting in most cases. I can use the Windows+P menu to manually reconnect to the monitor, but the resolution, and the resolution options in Control Panel. do not match the monitor's resolution. The issue will randomly fix itself after a period of time, and if I have manually reconnected the monitor, its resolution will revert back to its default. This issue has occurred using multiple different monitors.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
