I have a 20” gateway 900G monitor. It was working fine for the 3 years I have had it. Then randomly today I restarted my computer and it wouldn’t work. I boot in safe mode and it works fine. Just when I get past the windows loading screen it then tells me that I have no signal. This happens in both XP and Vista. Linux runs fine still. The computer tells me it cannot find a monitor plugged in at all. The video card I have is a two DVI port X1650 pro. I used a DVI to VGA converter and connected a second VGA monitor to the second port and Windows boots just fine in that monitor but the other one once again went blank past the boot screen. I have no idea why my monitor won’t work. My computer is a 3.4 GHZ Pentium 4 with 3 gigs of ram.
