Monitors with lines.......do they die?

So I just bought this 19" dell flat crt off ebay (probably not the best idea). I've had it for about 4 days and I just noticed a line running across the screen about 3 inches from the top and another line identical 3 inches from the bottom. You have to look pretty good to even see the lines at all. Is this something I should worry about? I only need this monitor for about a year and then i'm sure i'll upgrade. Advice anyone?

Yes, no problem at all, the lines are normally suppose to be there.
