microsoft crap
okay its not crap but the way they do things bugs me.
Do you run winxp home /pro or some other os?
Microsoft after IE 5.5 started hiding your temporary internet files while you are logged in.
SOOOOO.
create a new administrative user or at login prompt press control+alT+delete twice.
this will bring up the login prompt.
login as administrator with no password. If it gives you an error you can always setup a new user.
After you setup a new user login as that user and browse to your
c:\documents and settings\*username*\
click on tools \ folder options \ and click on the view tab.
check off the boxes for show hidden files and folders.
ok now you should see under that username folder a folder call "local settings"
and under that a folder called temp and another called temporary internet files.
clear out all of temp
then go to temporary internet files
open the content.ie5 and delete all folders.
you cannot delete the index.dat file without some serious work so dont worry about it.
reboot.
Hope this helps.
