Hey everyone, I have been upgrading my pc a little. I recently purchased an AMD 64x2 3800 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103562 and A-Data 2x1g PC 3200 DDR Ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211014 now Im considering upgrading my Asus A8V Deluxe mobo and Asus 9550 128mb vid card. My questions are will an upgrade to a PCI Express mobo and a better card compliment the new stuff i just purchased. Im not looking to build a supercomputer, just something that will perform better then what I have now (with oc capability) but still staying with the 939 socket.

Thanks

The motherboard gives you more choices, and thus an opportunity for better performance... but remember you need to find a board that will handle your cpu and memory, or you will need to upgrade those as well. I see no big advantage in upgrading the motherboard without also upgrading the cpu. Those changes will have an impact on the PCI-Express video graphics card you select... as will improved memory.

Thanks raybay, ill just stick with the mobo I have, if there wont be a significant increase in performance. Maybe ill just upgrade the vid card and run the machine till it dies.

Thanks
