MotherBord not reading AGP slot

Hello.
im farly new to computers so bare with me. i just bought a new Radeon 9600 SE AGP card to replace my Geforce Fx 5200 PCI card(manly to play BF2). well i uninstalled my old card and put in my new card. whats weird is that the monitor never turns on it just stays in stand by in boot up. i made sure the card was in locked down. i know i have anothe power supply.
i dont really know what my mother bord is besides its chipset wich is VIA.

also when i go to Device Manager under system devices an AGP slot does not appear. what am i doing wrong? i dont have the money to get a new motherbord or card. anyone able to help?

Did you uninstall the old video driver and install the new one?

Make sure you dont have an onboard Vga graphics card as this can cause problems.
