Moving Printers

When a user is getting a new laptop, moving data from one drive to another is easy. However, how does one copy over things like the printers? She has at least 20 printers from different projects on her old laptop, and in a perfect world, I'd just copy those settings over along with all her data. However, I don't know where to find them, or if this is even possible.

Google microsoft for 'files and settings transfer wizard'. This certainly should be able to do the job, though you might need to practice a bit.

Failing that, all printer settings are found in the registry (unfortunately in a multiplicity of places). You could search for the various places (easy to identify if you search the registry for an unusually-named one and find them all together). Then you export the appropriate registry branch to a USB or floppy and import into the new PC regitry with regedit.
