Thanks to Rick for post about this article, on Devshed about the forthcoming release of version 1.0 of Firefox.

"The final version of Mozilla's Firefox will arrive September 14, according to lead engineer Ben Goodger. Open-source browser fans, and those who have grown distrustful enough of Internet Explorer's security flaws to consider alternative browsers, will be looking forward to it.

The standalone browser has been in development since 2002. The Mozilla Foundation renamed its standalone browser, formerly Mozilla Firebird, to Firefox with its 0.8 release earlier this year. Will use make it your main browser?"

It already is my main browser for over a year now, and I'm very satisfied of everything it has to offer.

If the flashing cursor just didn't encroach on the text as you type- it bugs the sh*t out of me.

Yes the cursors in firefox are annoying, but that's really the only gripe I have.

Hopefully most of the bugs will be gone when Firefox 1.0 is released.

in firefox the cursor flashes over part of the last typed character inverting the color and driving me batty. I realize its a nitpick, but I seriously hate it.
