I purchased a NEC ND-3520A DVD-RW player player for my Dell PC and my DVDs won't play in WMP10!
I installed an MPEG-2 codec from the Intervideo DVD Pack Plus package on my
Dell PC since it did not come with a DVD player.
I get an error "Windows Media Player cannot play the video because there is
a problem with your video card." Even more frustratingly, DVDs sometimes
play in the background, but since the error box is in front, I can't
control the DVD at all :-(
I doubt this error is correct, since the DVD plays correctly with the VLC media
player. But I want it to work in WMP10 also.
I had earlier installed Stinky's MPEG-2 codec but that was not
successful, so I tried Intervideo. Maybe this double installation is my
problem, since apparently Intervideo adds all the codecs I need for .vob
files.
Any help? It's ridiculous that I can't properly get WMP10 to run a DVD on
the NEC.
Thanks,
Pete
