MS Excel 2003 Cursor

  1. vaul Newcomer, in training

    Beginning yesterday, whenever I open a file, the cursor is attached to an outline of a document. Excel is locked up and I have to ALT-CTL-DEL to close/exit. Does anyone know what the cursor with a document outline means?

    hmm. that is really wierd. it this the only time you have problems with ur mouse? i would try cleaning it, and then i would uninstall excel. reboot, then run some of the other microsoft app's. then after all that, install excel again. have you installed any new software lately? what OS are you running? with what microsoft package? ok thats it...hope that help out

    On the "view/custom views" did you enter anything untoward?
    If so try and delete it
