Changed AV, A-malware from Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) to Trend Micro about a month ago. Thought I had completely removed MSE. Noticed that I still have a task listed in task scheduler "Microsoft Antimalware Scheduled Scan" which is set to run daily. Should this be removed? Could this be linked to continuing error "Session "Microsoft Security Client OOBE" stopped due to the following error: 0xC000000D"?

Surely you need to delete any scheduled scans for MSE now that it's gone.
What motivated you to move to Trend Micro?????????????

The scheduled task was not initiated by me and I did not discover it until today - when I was setting an 'alarm clock'. Move to Trend Micro (with website ratings) was price ($19 for 3 machines), advice from my kid (IT Manager at outfit in CO - BS IT) and a concern that there are too many new nasties. The root certificate thing really makes me wonder if the whole security picture isn't one big sloppy mess. Except for an issue with rating websites in Google, I am pretty happy with the TM product.
