    Hi

Ive installed a new mobo, & CPU. I am having significant stability problems with my system. It reboots in games. It often freezes when I put a cd/dvd into the DVD writer. The DVD is not recognising some disks. I have clean installed XP many times but the problems comes back.

I thought it might be the SATA config but it appears correct.

    Legacy mode
    P-ATA only
    S-ATA enabled
    S-ATA channel P3 - master etc.

I have removed the S-ATA drive and added a normal IDE P-ATA drive. The sytem appears more stable but the problem is till there.

I have swapped DDR chips with other boards so they appear ok. CPU removed cleaned, new paste, etc

I'm not sure if the DVD read probelms and teh rebooting are related but if anyone has come across these issues please help.

    Cheers

I'd say that your power-supply is no longer able to .... supply power in enough quantity.
It probably worked well in the old configuration, but if you installed e.g. a mobo with an Intel Prescott or an AMD64, you need more power.
From the number of drives, my estimate is you need at least 430Watts.
Get a brand-name, such as Enermax, Antec or Fortron.
