MSI K8T800 problem with ATI 9700 Pro

    I recently installed a MSI K8T8000 board with a Athlon 64 3500+ proccessor and 1gig of 3200 RAM. Here is my problem.

    Everytime I run a graphic program like 3dmark5 or UT2004 the screen goes black and the computer locks up.

    I have a 480W power supply and I am only running one hard drive.

    I have flashed the video card, upgraded the bios and tried everything I know.

    I replaced the video card and tried that and I didn't have a problem, but I was wondering if anyon had any idea why my 9700 Pro will not work.
