Just got a KT4AV board and I have an amd 3000+ 333FSB processor. Every time I boot I just get a blank screen. Nothing happens and on the LED indicator it has 4 lights which basically means the processor isnt functioning. I don't think it is overheating beacuse it never comes up in the first place, and I don't think its a bad processor because I tried my old 1.4 athlon in there as well and it did the same thing. I have two sticks of 512 PC 2700 in there. I also tried PC 3200, no luck. If anyone could help me with this you'd be my hero :giddy:

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

I suspect you may have a bad mobo take it back and get another one and see what happens.

I had this issue too! clear the CMOS at JBAT1 (read the manual if u need help) and that should let your pc start up. when it starts go to the cmos and change the FSB to 166. that should detect your CPU as a 3000+

    I found the answers at
TechSpot OpenBoards > Hardware & Tweaking > CPUs, Chipsets and Mobos
    Identifying AMD processors

    hope this helps!
