    Hi,
I was just wondering which services are the full functions of MSN Messenger dependent on?

MSN Messenger is dependent on None of them.
If you want to kill Messenger then use gpedit.msc. Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Messenger. Set the Do not allow messenger to be run option to Enabled.
