music licenses

Piddly problem, I guess, but still a problem. Installed new mobo, re-install Windows (XPPro), licenses from Walmart downloads denied (I know its the cheap way, but I'm on disability, so cheap is a way of life) Got them to re-issue licenses, Windows media Player (10) can't/won't access them. Have all the files, can't play/burn 'em. As everyone knows, trying to get coherent (or any other kind) of assistance from Micrtosoft is like trying to find an honest man.

Any suggestions out there? Thanks
