Must reconnect to Router each time.

Over the past couple of weeks each time I want to us emy laptop I must seach and connect to my router. The laptop has my security code stored yet I must click connect each time. It is set as the default. I am not sure why I don't automatically connect. Could it be Zone Alarm.

Why are you using a software firewall when your router has a built-in hardware firewall?

Get rid if the Zone Alarm and repost with results.

HUMBUG! keep your firewall!

the AUTOconnect is dependent upon the discovery of the SSID and how you
connect the first time.

DELETE the connection and rediscover it, input your security key and let it connect.

the next time, it should auto connect for itself.

the firewall controls the data allowed on the link AFTER the connection, not before!

Thank you both. Jobeard I did rediscover and reconnect. I also went in properties to check it there and made sure it was the first connenction. Thanks again.
