My computer will not boot

I am using a Dell OptiPlex GX150
I start my computer it shows the del loading screen.
boots to there fine.
then it opens up a screen that says,"We apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully. etc.... How would you like to boot windows?
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Last Known Good Configuration
Start Windows Normally

If I choose any one of the safe mode options it says

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows

If I choose Last known good configuration or start windows normally it starts to boot by showing the windows screen and then starts over at the dell loading screen.

Any ideas of what might be causing this or suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated?

Hi there,

can u boot to windows ? if yes the go to the Command Prompt and type in

chkdsk c: /f

replace "c:" with your Main HD letter (the HD or the partition letter on which windows is installed ) /f is used to get the errors if available and repair them.

The problem happens when a dualboot with another operating system is attempted OR when a Harddrive was badly partitioned OR If you unproperly shutdown your PC

First, try to reset bios.

If you cant logon windows, boot your windows CD/DVD and enter recovery console, login your windows installation and type>>>> chkdsk /r
