Well my friend got a virus and I got rid of most of it, no anti viruses are able to work on his computer, it isn't formated right, but he had the stuff with Security Alert pop up getting a bunch of porn pop ups people trying to connect to his PC, so I had to hunt it down, after I got him to go into safe mode to delete everything he still had some issues with people trying to connect to his PC, so I got him to download HiJackThis so this is what it says..

Please help

That HJT log is more or less clean. Just do the following.

Open your task manager, by holding down the ctrl and alt keys and pressing the delete key.

Click on the processes tab and end process for(if there).

ALCXMNTR.EXE

Close task manager.

Run HJT with no other programmes open. Click the scan button. Have HJT fix the following, by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE

O16 - DPF: {0F733F27-5BBB-4D03-8D6B-19E2143880BF} (SkillGround Game Manager) - https://www1.skillground.com/sg/client/SkillGround.cab

Click on the fix checked button.

Close HJT.

Locate and delete the following bold files and/or directories(if there).

C:\windows\ALCXMNTR.EXE

Reboot the computer.

Now, tell your friend to go HERE and follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT and AVG Antispyware logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

WEll I got him to do that but still people are trying to connect to his comp.

So I got him to re-install windows but the virus came back.. He downloaded AVG but it wouldn't pick anything up..

All that crap is back... And it wont let him download AVG Anti Spyware..

Your friend is running both AVG and Trend antivirus programmes. This is not recommended, will slow his system down and can cause serious conflicts.

He needs to uninstall one of them.

Have HJT fix this entry.

Other than the above, the HJT log is clean.

Delete this file.

C:\windows\ALCXMNTR.EXE

Once he`s done that, I need to see a fresh HJT log as well as an AVG Antispyware log.

AVG Anti Virus wont work on his computer.

Are we talking about the AVG free antivirus programme, or the AVG Antispyware programme? They are two completely different programmes.

The AVG free antivirus programme is installed on your friends system along with the Trend antivirus programme. One of them needs uninstalling.

It`s an AVG Antispyware log I`d like to see, as well as a fresh HJT log.
