My modem turn my computer on automatically

Everytime I power on my modem, my computer will turn on automatically. Can anyone tell me why? Can I set it in Bios? or somewhere else?

There is either a setting in your bios or a there is a jumper setting on your mobo. Refer to your mobo manual, look for "wake on ring" setting and set it to off or disabled.

it is also listed in the bios as "wake on lan" sometimes.
