My printer won't print out pictures, but it prints out text.

It's strange. It's a HP Deskjet 5552 and it won't allow me to print out pictures, but I can print out text. I tried another computer connected to the same printer/same network and it prints both text and pictures.

What's going on?

I have Windows XP.

Have you tried uninstalling the drivers?

I have to agree with TypeX45, sounds like a driver issue. Are you using the drivers that came with the printer, and if so, have you tried downloading the most current drivers from HP's website?

My 712C runs off the XP drivers just fine without installing any of HP's software. You might try that as well.
