My windows xp laptop will not start it gets this system error-lsass.exe

It goes to the log in screen but does not show any users or anything other than this system error thing that pops up (lsass.exe) and if i click ok it reboots if i dont click anything it reboots. It also says this, when trying to update a password, the return status indicates that the value provided as the current password is not correct.

I am new to this forum and dont understand most of the computer things that people talk about on this forum so can you try to keep it simple for me to understand? :monkey:

Start with this Sasser removal tool

Then go to Read: How to remove Trojans and its ilk!

Then follow these instructions EXACTLY.
Put HijackThis in e.g. C:\Program Files\HJT and NOT in Temp or on the Desktop!.
Read: How to remove Begin2Search/Coolwebsearch and Other Nasties

Then Read: How to post your Hijackthis log-files as an attachment.

Will this work? I am not sure because the laptop will not even log on in sfae mode correct me if i am wrong.
