Mysterious Blue Screen..

I have had my computer for 2 years now and it has run perfectly fine, however in the last few months I have been upgrading various hardware to cope with the advances in computer gaming. The latest upgrades were my CPU and Mobo and HD, from a XP 2400+ to a 64 3700+ with a lanparty pro. I suffered a few power surges and was forced to replace my power supply, it did not seem to be giving enough power even to boot. Ever since around the time of the surges and replacing the power supply, I have experienced random crashes whenever putting my computer under medium/high stress i.e: games, installing, multitasking. I reformatted and have gotten the same error, switched hard drives, same error. My CPU has been generally running at 50-60 C', im not sure but that seems way too hot, the fan is only 2 months old and I have replaced the artic silver to no avail. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Those cpu temps if accurate, do seem high for an Athlon64.

Reapply some new thermal paste as per these instructions HERE. See if that helps.
