Hi everybody, This is my 1st post so please excuse me if its in the wrong section.
Ive done a search and cant seem to find anything similar on the forum, so here goes...
Im currently working on a sick friends machine, its pretty slow, so i have carried out most of the regular housekeeping exercises.
In doing this i have noticed alot of .t files scattered around the HDD, over 28 thousand files to be a bit more precise.
Initially i thought that they may be save game files from Warcraft or one of the other games that are installed on this machine. When i did a search i found them to be absoloutely everywhere,
the root of C
users documents and settings folders, multiple users
program files
windows folder
etc etc
I am wondering if any of you good folks have encountered anything similar to this?
Oh and the prefix to most files is a random alphnumerical string of 8 charecters, there seems to be no sequence with the names, just 8 random numbers and letters.
There are also similar .EXE files on the root of the C: drive...
Im stumped, if any of you can help id appreciate it greatly.
Cheers, Niall.
