Need advice on a AMD compatible mother board

I recently purchased a AMD 64 X2 3800 slot AM2 processor for my first new build.

I also have my computer case with a 450watt PSU.

I need firewire capability on the mobo since I'll be using this computer to edit and burn dvd's of old family vhs and 8mm tapes.

Now I need advice on "which" mobo to buy......one that has IEEE 1394 input and slot AM2. My analog to digital device uses firewire input to the computer.

I am not, nor do I intent to become, a gamer so don't let that be a concern. I'll use this computer to capture and editing video and do the usual web surfing.

There is one other thing, I can't spent a lot of money on the mobo. I know I can buy nearly anything I want if I'm willing to spend the money, but I need to keep the cost below $150 if at all possible.

I'd appreciate hearing your recommendations. Thanks to all who respond.

Thanks vegasgmc, I really appreciate your response.

A couple of people told me to go with the MSI K9N SLI Platinum Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard.

It sells for $123 + shipping at NewEgg.

What's your take on the K9N board?
