need advice on AV and Firewall

can someone help me as im havin probs with symantec client and my opera web browser. i start a torrent file and try to browse usin opera and it keeps timing out, even IE times out. i uninstalled and they worked fine altho now it means i need a new AV and firewall, i currently have AVG 7.5 email edition and winblows firewall.

Personally I think that what you're running is fine, especially AVG, though you may want something a bit better than the Windows Firewall, such as the Zonealarm or Kerio firewalls.

Get the AVG Antispyware as well.

ive heard of a few bad things about zonealarm, i had it once and it kept askin everytime i did somethin "do you want to allow this?" and i got sick of it so i got rid.
